FAQ

Do I need to know music theory?

Nope. We'll use sound, shape, and story before any technical terms.

What if I've never improvised before?

Perfect. This starts from zero assumptions.

Who is Aaron?

Aaron Demby Jones—I've studied classical theory, experimented with electronic sound design, and played everything from Bach to jazz rap. With a background in teaching (and too many instruments), I've spent years refining a creative approach to piano and music in general that I'm excited to share.

“Aaron's improvisational skills—and his musical skills in general—are astounding. He's a phenomenal teacher; and I think anyone who enjoys playing and performing music, professionally or otherwise, would benefit greatly from these lessons.”

— Kyle Miller, MM (Juilliard), professional violist
